MANEKINEKO
MANEKINEKO OMAMORI
The Manekineko Omamori is maybe one of our cutest ever and is dedicated to business prosperity. Maneki Neko (招き猫=beckoning cat) is famous for bringing luck and prosperity and is often displayed in shops and restaurants but also karaoke, pachinko etc.
There are many types of Manekineko and ours beckons with its right paw to bring money and good fortune. It is also holding a coin from the Edo period called Koban. The 3 kanji means "10 million Ryo"(千万両) or 10 million coins and represent wealth brought to the owner of the Manekineko!
At the back of the Omamori you will find a lot of 5 yen coins (五円="go en") which are commonly given as donations at temples and shrines. The intention here is to establish a good connection with the deity as "go en" is a homophone with go-en (御縁) and means connection or relationship.
Japan is a fascinating country, thanks to countless breathtaking sceneries and rich spiritual life! We decided to create our Classic collection to celebrate some fascinating aspect of our culture!
Our Omamori feature Japanese iconic characters, cultural symbols and are inspired from the most popular Lucky Charms you find at Japanese temples and shrines.
They will bring luck and happiness in various aspects of your life. Keep them with you wherever you go! Inside your wallet, dangling off your backpack or hanged inside your car!
Our Omamori are also a wonderful gift for a person you care about!
Blessing: Business prosperity (商売繁盛 - Shoubai Hanjyou)
